Help with puppy acting aggressively

We have two dogs, an 8-10 year old American Eskimo (Beauty) who is a rescue, and an almost 8 month old lab (Holly), both are female and fixed. Lately, Holly has been acting differently to Beauty. She has been barking at her more and being kind of a pain. It didn't seem to be a problem until this afternoon, when the puppy was playing and Beauty snipped at her, and the Holly went after Beauty. I'm not sure if she would've stopped without hurting the older dog, but we broke it up quickly.

Later, we were doing a foxtail check on Beauty and she did not like it. Holly got wound up with this going on, and started running around and barking when we put Beauty down. Beauty snapped at her again, and Holly went after her again. I feel like I'm a little out of my depth right now, and not sure how to get them getting along again without Beauty getting hurt. Holly is probably four times her size now.
