Let me say I would never get rid of him, I know I'm stuck with him for life.
I adopted him from someone who was giving him away on craigslist. He was 1.5 when I got him 3 months ago, so he's almost 2 now. He's just not super affectionate and is a bit standoffish (as many cats are). I see videos of other cats cuddling and loving on their owners, I cat-sat a cat for 5 days that didn't even know me and he was 100x more affectionate towards me than my cat.
I learned that tabby cats tend to be more affectionate and I regret not getting a tabby. Is it normal to feel regret after getting a pet when they aren't what you expect?
