I recently adopted a wonderful calico kitten who is about 3 months old. My family wants me to go on vacation with them next month for a week, and I'm super torn because I don't want to leave my kitten. She'll be 4 months old at the time of the vacation.
My roommate has a vacation planned for that week, so there won't be anybody else in the apartment, otherwise I'd feel better about it. I would definitely be able to get a petsitter to come by every day to feed her and play with her for a little bit, but I can't afford to get an overnight sitter or take her to a kennel (I'm a college student, I can afford to pay one of my friends $5 a day but not really more than that).
Would me kitten be ok with only daily petsitter visits? Or should I skip this vacation? My kitten comes first so I will be totally fine staying home if it's unsafe for her to be basically alone in my apartment for a week.
Tl;DR: Is it ok for a 4 month old kitten to be alone for a week, barring daily visits from a sitter?
