My boyfriend thinks I'm crazy because I enjoy taking care of and spending my time and money on my animals. Am I crazy?

I have 2 rats, a hamster, 6 mice (a female community of 3, and a Male community of 3) a pickerel frog, a skink, a betta, and a couple of cats. I'm not a hoarder, my pets are all well taken care of. Fed and watered, cleaned, in good size enclosures for them, all of the animals with social needs are given them. I spend a lot of my free time playing and handling the animals that should and enjoy it (not the frog and skink so much lol, they don't appreciate these hands) I have a good amount of free time when I'm not at work, and I enjoy spending it on taking care of my animals. I enjoy spending my extra money from my paycheck on them, for treats and such. It makes me happy, and I'm positive that all my animals are cared for and happy. I had a debilitating mental illness for a while when I was younger and it came back recently when i switched psychiatrists and had a gap in my medication refills. My boyfriend, (who doesn't live with me btw so what I put in my home and spend money on doesn't affect him how it might if we were living together fyi) seems to think that having the amount of pets I do, and spending extra money on them is unhealthy and he calls me crazy. I'm not in debt or anything, the money I spend on them is well within my budget. Am I crazy for preferring to spend my extra space, time, and money on more pets than the average person?
