Never posted before, dont even know if this I the right sub. My dad has some outside cats at his house, by that I really mean he feeds them and otherwise doesn't care much about them. They aren't friendly at all except for one that was recently dumped that was clearly someone's pet. Today before work I noticed the female that's been there for the longest time wasn't walking right. As she was "running" from me I noticed it looked like her back legs were just dragging. I want to help her but I dont even know how to start. Even if I can trap her I wouldn't know where to take her. I live about an hour east of st Louis. I dont imagine the vet in my town would be any good, is there some shelter that helps crippled cats and such?
