I have an 8 month old kitty named Bubbles, that I have a very good bond with. He always waits for me at the door when I get home to get belly rubs, loves getting attention and even sleeps with me at night. Problem is, I work and I'm not always at home.
I once babysat a friend of mine's older cat, and she initially had a problem with Bubbles. She'd hiss, claw at him whenever he got near, because he's such a curious playful cat while she's more reserved. Eventually she let him into her little space and they seemed to like each other.
Since Bubbles seems very receptive to other cats, this got me thinking about adopting a little brother or sister for Bubbles. However I'm afraid of this weakening the bond I have with Bubbles. Will he be less affectionate and too distracted by this younger kitten?
