Its technically not my cat, but my moms that she no longer wanted to care for. It's around 15 years old. It has a hyperthyroid problem, and is on meds for it, but is having complications. It keeps scratching, and liking its fur off. I have to keep taking it back to the vet, and I've had to pay around $600 in the past 2 months, and the vets still dont know what's going on. If this keeps going on, then I was thinking of putting the cat down. I don't even make much money as it is, and I cant, nor do I want to keep putting all this money torwards a cat that I didn't even want. Sorry if this seems cruel, but would you consider me a bad person for this? Like if I had to pay $1000 for a one time surgery to fix everything, so that I wouldnt have to keep going back so often than I would, but this is too much.
