Farcical anecdotes of how great it is to live in captivity have leaked through the floors of history enough times to infer a pattern. The present is no different, the dilemmas have not disappeared: the answer has always been basic thought. A spark of imagination is all that's necessary for a change in the world we know. To electrify a soul is an everyday Miracle, whether Marine, avian, or human life happiness exist the same. If a fish may sense a change in the current and adjusts trajectory, what difference is there between a human switching lanes. All living beings have their role in the universe and by humoring attractions like New England Aquarium the human race has been pulled back in it's quest for knowledge. Dead coral; stressed and dying fish or mammals; cuddly penguins strapped down as if headed for the electric chair has become commonplace in all aquatic animal harboring facilities. A synapse needs to connect in the neurological network of us humans, the animals of planet Earth , ourselves included, need freedom. A life fades away, its last glimpse in a cruel world is an audience behind an invisible barrier; one it may not fight; one it has fought ever since it was kidnapped from its home. Eyelids drooping lower with each flap speaks a universal language, one any other life can recognize. The patrons are antsy and ruthless; a peaceful death will not come for Mrytle the Turtle. After close to 50 years she has been forsaken to remain in her inconceivable cage, a green sea turtle belongs in the jet streams of the tropical coasts running across the breadth of the planet. Her role is to patrol the seas for as a public transport for enriching nutrients and bacteria, she should be able to roam in restrained, possibly to be eaten for the betterment of another living being. Whether dead or alive every being has its purpose, humans play God in assuming matter can simply be created or destroyed at the whim of incompetent politicians who care not for the eviornment they destroy. Speak out against injustice wherever you are and you have made the world a better place, all it took was a spark.
