I taught my cat to play hide & seek

This is my first post on reddit and not sure if this is the right place for this story, but I'll give it a shot. So a few years ago, when I got my cat named 'Gijs' I would play with her, and after a while she'd run away and hide behind the couch. When I didnt come to her she would start meowing until I 'found' her. I would walk either really slowly and with as little noise as possible and surprise her, or make as much noise as possible so she could try to not get 'caught'. Whenever she'd come to me to see if I wanted to play, she would meow, run a few meters, and look back to see what I was going to do. If I wanted to play I'd slap my thighs a few times, and run after her. After a while she knew that me slapping my thighs meant I was going to search for her, and she would sprint away to hide. If I took to long to find her, she would meow to give me a sense of her location. At first when I found her, she would just run off, but I decided to try and get her to search as well. So I would find her, we would have a starring contest for a few seconds, and then I would run away while slapping my upper thighs, and sure enough she would come look for me a few seconds later. At first I mostly hid behind doors or around corners, but after a while I would try to find better hiding spots to challenge her. If she takes too long to find me I also start meowing. She will meow back if she needs another hint, and when she finally found me she would look at my feet, look up, look me straight in the eyes with the proudest look, and run off to hide again. It's come to a point where when I slap my knees, or she looks at me a certain way whe both know what's about to go down, and we both love it everytime.
