I want to get an indoor dog, while already having 3 outdoor dogs and an indoor cat. Would appreciate some advice

Sorry for the story, felt it would paint a better picture.

My family owns a fairly big house, as such we have 2 big gardens on both sides (it’s a gated home).

Before I moved back home, my dad got Great Danes and they stay outdoors all the time and roam freely because my father is a no pets in the house kind of person, and because they are massive. The gardens they have is more than ample space for big dogs like them to run around.

That was until I got my cat Tilly (a street cat that was living at my grandma’s gave birth and I ended up adopting one of her kittens when she was young). Thankfully my dads been fine with Tilly because she’s clean, follows me pretty much everywhere, and is a very fun and cute cat.

We’ve had Tilly for about a year and a half now. At this point, I really want a small dog for in the house. Even though I spend a decent amount of time with my dogs at the moment, my dad was the one who raised them (I came back when the parent was 4 and kids 2) and I don’t feel like I have a special bond with them like what I would have had I been around while they were growing up, or at the very least them being able to spend time indoors. Even though I love Tilly, the bond and emotions of a dog doesn’t compare to that of a cat (in my honest opinion).

So on to my main questions. How do you think my Great Danes would feel if I brought a new pup home and had him indoors and in turn spending more time with him? Do you think Tilly would eventually get along with it? What experiences do you have of introducing a new dog to pets in the family?

Thanks in advance for all your help
