I find it hard to discuss strays and feral pets with people who prefer cats. They seem so nonchalant on the issue. They take pictures of feral cats and seem to accept them as they are.
However, I have no tolerance for the issue. Cats are a domestic animal and should ideally be with humans. The stray and feral cat issue is something that should be fixed worldwide. Just because it was commonplace for centuries doesn't make right. How to fix the issue is the problem. Neutering feral cats and rehoming strays is obvious, but there's always unaltered cats that get abandoned, loose, or that are allowed to be outside unsupervised.
I know they're two different animals, but I wonder if there's a difference between how people who prefer either think. I know many cat fans (especially on r/cats) detest purebreds and breeding cats, while dog fans are generally fine with reputable breeding.
