My cat eats the lower half or geckos. Is this normal or safe?

My cat is an indoor-outdoor cat. Every so often, she'll bring in little "presents", like crickets, skinks, butterflies and most recently half-eaten geckos. I have reason to believe she's eating these geckos and not just finding them (like she does when she finds dead birds) because when i find the carcasses, they're still kind of fresh and the eaten half is surrounded in dried blood. So far she's only gotten 3 of them, and I never see her bring them in or eat them. I just stumble across the body possibly hours after she's done the deed. I can't identify what kind of gecko it is, coz the tail is always missing, but if it helps, the top of the gecko is usually black or a dark colour with a light belly.

If you can help identify the gecko, please let me know (i live in SE Queensland, Australia)

Is it normal for cats to eat half of a gecko? And is it safe for her to do this? If it helps, she's on a tick and flea treatment, as has recently been put on a worming treatment too.
