My 9 month old female cat used to cuddle and purr all the time when I was around. She layed on my chest, started purring like crazy whenever I touched her and always wanted to be with me. Now, for a week or so, she is just not that into me anymore. Most of the time she’s around me but not as close and she is much less cuddly. What could be the reason? Could she be ill? I was thinking that I was at home a lot for the last 2 weeks because of the holidays and she just got enough of me if that makes sense? Or has she just stepped into her teenage phase?
Also, there was a little ‘incident’ with my elder cat. Her claws got stucked in a plastic bag and she started running around the apartment in panic, and this scared the little one. But this has happened once before and her behaviour hasn’t changed that time at all, also she calmed down in minutes the second time and got friendly right away with the elder cat again so I don’t think this affected her in a bad way.
