I have a one year old cat I adopted last month and the oldest cat is four years old. The younger cat is afraid of my older cat. I'm not sure whether they're playing or fighting but I think its fighting. My older cat likes to pounce at her and stare at her which causes my younger cat to start growling and hissing. The first week I adopted the younger one she was able to play with the older one but now she's scared of her for some reason. I bought a feliway diffuser two weeks ago to see if that'll help but it hasn't. I've also tried spraying water at my older cat to get her to stop scaring her but I'm not sure if that's the right thing to do. I can't even leave them both in my same room alone because then my older cat will start to get near her and she'll start growling. How do I stop them from fighting and help them get along?
