I went to the vet today for my leopard gecko. Everything is pretty healthy except her back right foot is swollen. The vet believes it to be a injury like a sprain but she wasn’t sure.
I made an appointment with and exotic vet but the earliest I could see them was the 17th. I still made the appointment but I also didn’t want to risk waiting that long because I thought it was gout. So I went to a normal vet. She has some experience with reptiles but not a lot.
She didn’t do any blood work or x-rays. She just felt my gecko’s foot and said she believed it to be injured. So she prescribed OstiLox. Is that safe for a leopard gecko? I can’t find anything on the internet about it. Should I wait until the exotic vet or give it to me leopard gecko to relieve her pain?
TLDR: Is OstiLox safe for leopard geckos?
