Not sure if this is allowed here, but I'm not sure where else to ask. My mums cats left ear is swollen and leaking blood. She's 20 years of age. We're not sure about taking her to a vet cuz we don't want to put too much stress on her in her old age, and if they were to put her under to try and operate on it, we're not sure if she'll wake up. We've been bathing it in warm salty water and it's been 2 days. We're not too sure what it is, thinking it might be a grass seed. A friend suggested getting a needle and sucking out the gunk, would that help at all? Or would that just make things worse and open the avenue for infections? Is this something that can just heal over time? Cuz if it can, that's what we're thinking is best as to not put too much stress on her. Can provide a photo if needed
