We found two kittens in the backyard, we just retrieved them a few minutes ago.
They have been meowing all morning which we first thought was normal since our neighborhood do have roaming cats. Then tonight close to midnight, we still hear meowing and it sounds to be near our backyard. We found them in a very deep bush, stuck under a pile of twigs. There was no sign of their mother and they've been at it all day so we took them in. Put some milk on a plate as we weren't sure what else to do.
We plan to bring them to an animal shelter or some-sort tomorrow morning, we've been looking things up. What suggestions do you guys have? Unfortunately we can't just keep them and we don't know how old they are, probably 1-2 weeks? They can barely walk so we've read they need the mother or some specific milk, warmth, etc.
Would an animal shelter be best to give them to? We have a Humane Society nearby as well as a Vet. Some say that some don't even take them in?
