I have an 11 year old female cat. She lives a happy life, indoors only, almost never home alone, always food/water available, healthy, gets a lot of scritches etc. Recently though (past 2 days) she has started following me around, everywhere. She is usually pretty up in her own business, and we go and check on each other a few times a day for some attention. Now she’s always keeping an eye on me, even when I shower etc. Is this a sign of something? I feel like she wants to tell me something, like that the food bowl is empty etc but I can’t figure it out. It’s just weird to see heir behaviour change in 2 days.
Right now I’m trying to sleep but she’s on the floor in my room watching me at 3am, and usually she’s asleep by this time and mostly sleeps on the couch. Actually just as I wrote this she jumped on to my bed, this has never happened before, in 11 years.
Could there be something wrong with her or did we just increase our bond after 11 years?
