So, the title. My little sister has wanted a cat for way too long, and a friend of hers gifted her a baby one, and even though they should have contacted my parents first, we decided to keep it. The very big problem is, we have three dogs that have been living with us for 7, 5 and 2 years respectively. None of them have an aggresive nature for their breed. The cat is like a baby, not a toddler, but pretty young.
We've tried to make them close by making them see each other sometiemes, and the dogs seem to have no trouble with it, but the cat seems to always be in a defensive postion by hissing or raising it's back.
Oh btw, every pet i mentioned is male
