Whenever I try to pick up my dog when hes lying down, he always growls at me, and today when I tried to pick him up, he bit me on my middle finger. Is there a special way to pick him up, or do I have to make him stop growling through training? I try to pick up my dog by putting one hand on his behind, and the other hand behind his front legs. Is that a good way to pick him up, or does my technique need to be changed?
