Am I crazy?

New to this sub, so I'm sorry if I'm unknowingly breaking a rule. I didn't see anything against this on the rules pages, but I just don't know.

I know everyone has had a terrible 2020. On my own personal level, it's been hard. I recently had two miscarriages in Fall (October and November), and I have been having a difficult time. They were both planned pregnancies, so its been emotionally gutting. My husband and I were looking forward to expanding our family, and that door seems to be shut for the time being.. With COVID, my husband and I feel like we don't have anything to look forward to. We can't plan a nice vacation or plan anything really. We had been considering adding a second dog to our family before all this happened. I want to stress my husband and I agree this is a lifelong commitment. I have always grown up with dogs (usually always had two in the house growing up), and my husband grew up with a dog too. This dog is with us for the rest of its' life.

We have a wonderful golden retriever (loves other dogs!) and two cats. We live in a 1600 square foot condo, with direct access to a shared lawn (We also can have this second dog per our by laws before anyone asks). We have enough space/money to accommodate a dog, and my husband has a flexible schedule now to let the dog out everyday at lunch. Is it appropriate to get a dog? I just want to be fair to the dog. I have a lot of love to give, including to all of my lovely pets already. I just don't know, and I would love some insight from third parties.

Edited to Add: We take our dog to a dog park to more freely run about once a week, since they must be leashed in our shared backyard. Our wall neighbor (only share one wall-set up like a townhouse) has a Bernese Mountain dog. They have not complained our golden once. They even included him in their Christmas card to us this year.
