Bonding with 2 kittens

Me and my partner recently got two kittens from the same litter (13 weeks).

The one I chose is really soppy - she often comes over for a quick cuddle or stroke when they are playing, but the other hates being touched. She will tolerate a few strokes from my partner when she is sleepy, but she usually ends up turning away. Her ears aren’t flat and she doesn’t complain, but she doesn’t seem to enjoy it too much.

If I greet her, she will sniff my hands, but then look offended and run off. I don’t try and follow.

She is from a breed that are typically very friendly, but I appreciate she might just not be a lap cat.

She will happily play with us and use us as climbing frames when hunting, she just seems to hate human hands.

I was wondering if anyone experienced this and found the cat grew to be cuddly anyway? We have had them less than a week, so it could be she just doesn’t trust us yet.

I honestly don’t mind, but my partner is more used to dogs and is feeling a little offended. Technically she is ‘his cat’ out of the two and he is excited to bond with her.

Although we do play with them, having two means they usually choose to play with each other.
