I got an adult cat back in December and I haven't had any issues with him pooping in the house since after his first week (startled him once when he was in his litter box, he jumped out mid-business, but that's not really his fault). All of a sudden, at least once a night, he'll leave an unwanted deposit somewhere on the carpet.
I bought a scented litter a couple weeks ago and I'm thinking maybe that's it? I've witnessed him using the litter box for both peeing and pooping with the new litter and he is only pooping in the house, not peeing. Any thoughts?
