We had a baby 8 weeks ago and since then one of our cats has pissed on our beds at least 10x. The first one being while we were literally at the hospital giving birth. Baby sleeps in a room that the cats never went in and we tried making sure there was minimal changes for them, minus a crying baby of course. One cat has taken to pissing on our bed and the bed which the baby sleeps next to which is understandably not hygienic and its stressing me out.
We have 2 cats and 5 litter boxes that get cleaned every day- they are indoor cats. We initially cleaned the bed and would let the cats still use the room because we didn't want lots of changes and to provoke more urination. Now we have to keep the door closed and at any opportunity the cat will run in and hide under the bed. The door was open for 2 mins and I just caught her pissing in our bed again. Vet has ruled out any health problems and she's healthy so I'm sure it's a behavioural problem.
Any advice would be hugely appreciated. I love my cats but with a newborn I am at my wits end.
