There’s been a stray coming around for a couple of months. I’ve been feeding him and he rubs on me and gets head scritches and purrs sometimes. Well he was covered in burrs and was ripping chunks of his fur out and we got worried and decided we would scruff him and take him to the emergency vet to get him cleaned and then bring him inside because we’ve been wanting to anyway.
Well... it went about as well as you would expect. He got loose and scratched the hell out of me. I just feel so guilty because I feel like I betrayed his trust and he’s not going to want to come back and won’t like us anymore. I’ve been crying about it for an hour.
