I have had my dog for 2 years almost. The first year i had him he was the Friendliest dog he would run up to and play with anyone. A few of my friends used to bring there dogs over to play with eachother. But about a year ago my dog attacked a smaller poodle. I payed for the vet bill and the dog was ultimately okay. The behavior seemed out of the blue and i cant explain it because he was always a very friendly dog. But recently i have adopted another dog half husky half pit it is only a few months old. And i was scared to introduce my other dog to her. I eventually have started letting them around eachother. I keep my first dog out side he sleeps in another room that is disconnected from the main house. And the puppy sleeps inside the main house. I even left the two dogs in the main house alone together. But yesterday i opened the door out side so i could feed my first dog and he started growling at the puppy and the puppy ran away inside the house. And today i was with them outside and my first dog was growling acting like he was going to attack. The only other time ive seen him act aggressive toward the puppy had to do with a bone but that seemed more like a warning sign rather than just pure aggression. But today seemed like he was ready to attack the puppy. Does anyone know what could cause this sudden change in attitude toward the puppy?
