Hello everyone, I'm a dog person and I can't really imagine never having a dog again. I'm in my early 20's so I've recently acquired my own apartment (with my bf) and financial independence. Growing up, there was always a dog in my family and now my parents even have two. I really want a dog myself (not necessarily right now but maybe in the next 5 years) but I live in a 80m² (860 square feet) apartment downtown with no garden as opposed to my parent's huge house and garden in the middle of nowhere. I'm really worried about how a dog would feel living with me in an apartment especially since both me and my bf work full time so I made this post hoping to get everyone's opinions about this. Are there breeds that feel comfortable in an apartment (I've researched this but if you have personal experience to share I would appreciate it) ? How often and for how long should an apartment dog be taken to the park ? Is there a difference in how a dog should be raised/trained in this setting ? Would you get a dog if you were in my place ? Any advice is welcome
