Hello, Im not sure how many people will see this post but if u have any advice it would be greatly appreciated. i have a 10year old female poodle who recently began scratching herself when i felt the area she kept scratching it felt like a scab i was worried more about how she may have gotten the scab rather than what it would become. a few days later she kept scratching and i noticed it was becoming raw. we decided to shave her to avoid the area becoming infected and to see if she may have had fleas although all of our dogs are always checked and never get fleas. the area (on her forehead) is now all raw. we sprayed some hotspot spray and added styptic powder. i bought her some oatmeal shampoo in case it was environmental allergies and a cone from amazon. any other advice? any recommended antiseptics (spray or ointments)? I’ve read apoquel is great to stop the itchiness. thank you in advance!!
