our lab/pit mix puppy is about 5 months old. we recently discovered he likes chasing the red dot light we have for our cats. now every time i sit down on the couch (where i usually point the light on the floor for him) he will just sit and stare at me, and wait. after a while he’ll start looking around and sniffing the floor. then he’ll stare at me again, and get excited every time i move. he’s just waiting for me to bring it out but i don’t think it’s a good idea anymore because he seems to be obsessing over it. i try to throw toys for him but he’s not interested and will just continue to stare at me. how do i break this habit? do i just let him play with the light because he likes it so much? or is it bad he’s becoming reliant on it ?
