I'm 16 and it's my first mice ever since I got into the idea of having mice as pets. I got them on monday after my first day at work and rushed to get them their need like their cage and food. Both mice have different personalities. My sister named the timid one Jessica and the other is Clementine and she is very adventurous. I only have a few questions right now.
1.What I'm supposed to do to bond with them. I know it might be too soon but someone said to start early? But others say to wait? 2. A blog said to give something with my scent and not to give them a hideaway but I already did and I dont know if I was supposed to give them a hideaway right away. Are they just gonna hide away and not play? Would it be okay if I gave something with my scent right now? Is it to late? 3. Another person said to get a ball so they can roll around and I did but it's really big compared to them. They went in because of curiosity and they didn't really like it. Are they not supposed to be in balls? 4. Today I grabbed one of them because I had to fix something in the cage and they ran and got scared. Now I'm scared that they are scared of me.What do I do? Will they trust me? 5. I know they like being in groups and it helps them to socialize and feel safe. Could it help Jessica, who is very shy, if Clementine was friendly to me since I dont think we are bonded yet. 6. Lastly are 2mice enough of a group so they can feel comfortable? Would I need to get more for them to feel comfortable? I know I would have to buy a bigger cage but I just really want them to be happy since they are my first mice and I want them to be comfortable.
