I don’t actually own the “colony” of cats that live around my house. They’re actually strays, but we feed them and take care of them the best we can—as long as they’ll let us. I think one of them got hit by a car or something. He’s limping badly. He let me feed him and pet him after he realized I wasn’t going to hurt him, but he scratches and runs if I try to pick him up. Anyone have advice? I’d like to take him to the vet, but he still doesn’t completely trust me. He’s so scared, and it breaks my heart.
