Hi all, today is day 4 of having my pup in the same 1 bedroom apartment as my two,4 year old, cats (who were best friends). The last 3 days have been almost too perfect that we were expecting a blow off but not to this proportions.
My pup tried running past my oldest cat, causing him to hiss & become aggressive. Once my younger cat (who typically is a the most gentle boy) started to growl back. After that they had a fight, in which my younger cat got a cut that drew a little blood.
Because of this fight I tried to separate the cats, and in turn got my face pretty torn up. A few hours later when we attended to get them to reunite, similar behaviors showed up.
Neither of them are being particularly aggressive to the dog but I’m worried they’re relationship is going to be different because of this.
Any prior experiences or advice would be HIGHLY appreciated. Today has been a rough day.
