Need Advice: Cat with Cancer (Large Cell Lymphoma)

Hello all, I am giving hospice care to my amazingly sweet cat who was diagnosed with large cell lymphoma in mid February.

Cats decline so differently than humans and I’d like to know how your cats declined and how you determined it was time to put them to sleep.

My cat lays down on the ground much more now and hides in the closet for a couple hours every day. But at the same time he still eats, urinates, and poops regularly. He still jumps on high counters and on his cat tree to look outside. Sometimes I bring him outside where he explores a bit and rolls around in the sun. He recently escaped the backyard and was able to hop a 6ft fence..

I’m just confused because at times he’s really lethargic but other times he’s alert and seems to enjoy himself.

Does anyone out there have a similar experience with the way their cat deteriorated? Any advice or anecdotes would really be appreciated. ❤️ Thank you ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
