I've had my cat for 6 years, he's 10. I've always boasted about his zen like demeanor...
This weekend I went out of town friday-sunday I had a friend feed my cat and I filled up his fountain full before I left.
Well now I've returned and he LITERALLY will not stop vocalizing and I'm going CRAZY I can't sleep or even nap because it's non stop.... like I wish it was a hyperbole. From the moment he wakes up he begins meowing and yowling like never before. He eats and meows, he drinks and meows. He's also refusing to drink from his water fountain and will stare me down meowing. He'll drink water from my plant pots, he was catching the dripping from them draining, I've broken down and started giving him faucet water which I know will only encourage more meowing. I pick him up and place him back at his water bowl but he just refuses!
I live in an apartment and a neighbor has already mentioned his yowling and they live across the hall.
Idk what to do.
I'm at the point of using a spray bottle and I've never felt a need to use a spray bottle before but he doesn't even care! He's being a complete asshole, I just want to scream. He's never been like this before.
