So for about a week or so now my cat will start retching like shes going to puke or pass a hair ball but nothing comes out. So I have been watching intently. It happens anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes. When she does this I will sit next to her and pet her and tell her its ok and she will sometimes crawl into my lap til it subsides. Afterwards shes perfectly normal and goes about her day. From what ive seen it happens 1 or 2 times a day. She could do it more when im not home but im home most the time and she will find me when this starts happening. She is fine in every other avenue, eating great, drinking great, playful as ever and still fat and sassy. But these episodes are scaring me. I looked it up and found she exactly does what most cats with asthma do. I will be taking a video when she has the next episode to show on here and to show the vet because I WILL BE SCHEDULING A VET APP IN THE MORNING.
I know this may not be asthma but from process of elimination I've found this to be the most likely candidate.
To ease my worry does anyone here have a cat with asthma? Is she going to be ok? How can I help her until we can get to the vet ??? Could it be anything else?
