Ugh. My sibling’s cat is AFTER me. Usually he doesn’t have her nails out...yet. Anytime I’m over there (about twice a week when I work in my sibling’s office), I’m prey. I feel like I have to hide, am anxious, and walking on eggshells around this cat!
I’ve known the cat for 7 years now (since they got it) and have been around as a semi frequent visitor since. We’ve been chill for most of that time. For a while the cat attacked my mom but now is cool with her and passed the beef to me.
I’ve never been mean to the cat. I say hi, pet when he lets me, give treats sometimes, and overall try to be positive. But since he will swipe at me out of no where...literally I’ll be minding my own business and he comes out of no where. He’ll hiss at me sometimes. When he hisses, I walk off; when he attacks, duck and dodge. I didn’t do anything to this thing and now idk how to fix it.
Obviously, and reasonably, I’m anxious around him most of the time now. If he’s on the stairs or in my path, I dread walking past him out of fear.
Randomly one day he cuddled with me for a WHILE and it was nice. Then back on his bullshit.
He gives my sibling a rough go to. Sometimes attacks her but usually knows better. Is very food motivated and will act up around food times/ eat trash to prompt early feedings and attention. Anytime an exit door opens, he tries to bolt. Idk how my sibling feels but I feel held hostage by him
