Sudden, DRASTIC behavior change in cat. HELP!!

My cat is a 3 year old female tabby. She's a mild tempered indoor only cat. We have no other pets. We just moved a week ago from a very small appartment to a large appartment. She adjusted to the new space surprisingly fast. She LOVED it immediately, we were so relieved that she didn't have any anxiety or issues. Our old place didn't have a patio so she's never really been outside. Our new place has a very large patio that she has been very enthused about exploring.

Today at noon she was alone on the patio, I was getting changed in the bedroom and noticed her out there so I tapped on the sliding glass door to get her attention and she immediately puffed up and started freaking out. I thought I just startled her but then I noticed that she had pee'd herself. My partner and I then rushed out to calm her but she wouldn't have any of it. She went ballistic, she was acting like she had never seen us before. The yowling and screaming are noises we had never heard from her before.

We thought maybe she just had little scare so we left her in the bathroom (her safe space with litter box, food, water) and left to go visit my family. When we returned around 5pm we let her out and she was fine for a couple minutes, rubbing up against us and seemed happy to see us. I went out to the patio to grab the propane tank we needed to fill up and when I walked back in she puffed up again and started screaming uncontrollably. She then started running around the house, pissing and shitting everywhere. She had no bowel control at all. If we tried to go close the screams would get louder. It's like she suddenly had no idea who we were.

We called a vet immediately this time. They had to sedate her because she's not good with other people besides us. They took blood tests and gave us equipment to take a urine sample at home, as well as pain meds in case she's in pain. They suggested an x-ray but we passed on it because it seemed like a bit of a gouge for money. If nothing shows up from the other tests then we will get an x-ray test.

This behavior is wildly out of character. She's the sweetest thing and she's VERY particular about only using her litter box, so the bowel control thing is suuuuuper weird to us. She's never had an accident before. Again we have never heard these aggressive yowling/screaming from her either. Every time we go near her now she starts this up again. If we leave her alone in the bathroom she stays quiet.

We are desperate for help. My partner and I feel sick to our stomach and are so stressed over this. We have no clue what could be wrong and the vet was basically no help. We are only relying on the blood samples at this point which we won't receive until Monday. For now we are stuck with being unable to use our bathroom while she is in there unless we want to get screamed at.

We can't tell if she's in pain or if the spook on the patio somehow traumatised her. Both options don't seem to make any sense and leave more questions than answers. As she was totally fine and healthy and normal leading up to the patio incident.

TL;DR: well you kinda need to read the whole thing to know what's going on.
