I absolutely know they should NOT be kept together don't worry!
My guinea pigs have a large pen in their own room of the house, I'm not asking if they can be bonded because I would never allow them to have contact - I'm asking if I can own both animals separately as I used to have rabbits - one day I handled my friends ferret - and the smell of the ferret on my hands made my rabbit absolutely freak out so I had to make sure my hands were well scrubbed and wait until I went back near my rabbit.
If I had an outdoor ferret enclosure would the scent of the ferrets on me panic guinea pigs the way it did with my rabbits? Obviously if it does, I will not be getting any ferrets, I just can't find any info online about this, only people asking if they can house piggies with ferrets
