I have a 12 yo female small dog, mixed breed, but I believe she's actually a farm dog. She has spent almost her entire live without other animal friends.
She looked okay all this time, but then we (me and my family) started noticing that she looks... interested in other animal. She looked happy chasing over goats or cats, but she doesn't hate them. She just chased them and once they're close, she just put her interested and happy face, sniffing around.
But I'm not sure she loves other dog. She often looks anxious when other dog bark (in friendly way, i believe) at her when we take a walk.
She also sometimes follow me around the house when there's only the two of us, or stay close to my mum when she's around.
So, how do I know whether my dog needs a friend? And how do I find a nice friend for her? Is there any tips?
