I just learned that essential oils can be toxic to cats and can even cause liver damage if ingested. I don’t use oils but Bath and Body Works candles contain essential oils and I burn those almost every day. I also learned that paraffin wax isn’t great for cats and soy is a better alternative. I never knew that cats were this sensitive. I feel so bad.
Are there any scented candles that are safe to use around cats? There are supposedly lines of pet friendly ones, but even those use paraffin wax. Are soy ones scented with fragrance instead of essential oils safe, or is it best to avoid candles totally? I’d never want to put my cats at risk. I’d appreciate any info!
