Hoping I can get some advice on this.
I have two cats (male and female, both are 1yrs old) who get along fairly well for the most part.
However, during play time with wands/fishing toys, the female one tends to jump high without regards to where she’ll land. This has ended in the male cat being stepped on a few times. Now he absolutely refuses to play together with her (when I play with them).
I’ve tried to play with the male cat separately in a closed room, but the female cat starts meowing — which then leads him to stop playing and stare at the door.
I’m kind of lost on what to do.
For what its worth: the female cat is a bit bigger than the male cat. They don’t fight, they sleep together, groom each other and also do midnight zoomies/play fights with each other. So they don’t despise each other. They were also raised together since they were kittens.
Any advice?
