Hi! My cat, Rain, is wonderful. She’s talkative, snuggly, & super affectionate. I’ve had her a year & a half now & shes 3 years old. Last year, I took her on a 30 min car ride to get her nails clipped. It was traumatic for both of us, as she tried escaping her carrier, she cried the whole way, & she pooped in her carrier which I assume was from stress. Ever since then I’ve clipped her nails 😆
Next year I plan to move in with my boyfriend who lives 45-60 minutes away (depending on traffic, damn you PGH). He has a silver lab so of course I’m anxious about them getting along but I’m also anxious about moving her there. I don’t want to stress her out. I could cry just thinking about how scared she was in the 30 min drive, let alone a 50 minute one. I’m so afraid that after the move, her personality will change & she won’t be my snuggly, loving girl anymore. I had a bad experience with a cat when I was younger where we moved & she was never the same.
Any advice to ease my anxieties? TIA!
