My cat has been pretty sick for the past few days with awful diarrhea. I took her to the vet and luckily nothing was life threatening and her blood work came back normal. I was given Metronidazole in pill form for her to take every 12 hours for about 8 days. I bought a piller (pill gun) to try to make it an easier process but it's been a living nightmare trying to get her to take her pill. Since it tastes horrible, she immediately starts foaming/drooling at the mouth and waits for me to let go of her to spit it right back out. She hides under the bed for hours, and since she's been having stomach problems she doesn't even want her treats as a reward. I'm afraid she's not going to trust me anymore after basically having to restrain her to make her take her pills. She's my baby and we have such an amazing bond and I'm so scared she's going to see me differently after this :(
