Hi everyone,
I have a 13 week old kitten who is very very vocal. She has been meowing constantly the past few days - ever since I brought her home. I understand that she may be looking for her litter and mom but it’s gotten to the point where her voice is very hoarse and raspy. (The first day her meow sounded like a normal kitten meow - high pitched)

I’m wondering if this extent is normal in some kittens? My friend also got a kitten and hers does not meow to this extent.
As you can imagine it’s been very hard for my family to sleep because she is meowing very loud and very consistently. She barely sleeps - maybe 20 minute intervals but she will wake up in between and meow again.
I am considering taking her to the vet however I don’t know if this will go away on it’s own.
Has anyone else had their kitten behave like this?? I also made sure to feed her , provide clean litter, I got her a bunch of new toys and a cat tree today. Nothing seems to be working.
Any advice and feedback would mean a lot to me! I have roommates who all have to wake up for their jobs and I feel so bad for keeping them up
