Mice for indoor cat?

Hi! After reading an article about how outdoor cats benefit from hunting for stimulation I’ve wondered about feeder mice. Many pet supply stores offer rats and mice for snake owners and I’m wondering if it’s sane to occasionally buy a mouse for my cat to hunt. It keeps her indoors which is better for wild animals and song birds and these mice are destined for a belly of some sort. Just wondering if anyone else has done something similar
