I love my two 1.5 year old cats. I spend all day with them. I play with them multiple times I day, I take them outside to run up trees and I’ve built them an enclosure they can come and go from freely all day with various sitting spots.
However they are incredibly clingy and needy to the point I can’t take it. I can’t cook dinner, eat, sit for 5 minutes, send an email without constant whining, meowing and crying. If they aren’t sleeping, they expect me to be playing with them for the entire 10 hours they are awake.
I’m going through a really stressful period in my life at the moment and I can’t take it. I’m screaming at them to shut up, I’m getting myself worked up, my heart rate is increasing because I can’t sit in peace for 1 minute without constant meows.
I cannot keep going this way because this stress this causes me is going to give me a heart attack.
They don’t play with each other so it’s like having a only-cat, but with double the effort.
I love them dearly but I have found Myself escaping to my car to get some peace.
