Took the little man to the vet this morning and found out his itchiness is due to a bacterial and yeast infection. The vet says the underlying issue is a food allergy, but to what, we don't know. So it looks like we'll be on an elimination diet for the next 3 months. Prescription food, no scraps, no treats, no chewable heartworm.
So other pet owners, here's my question! Those of you who have done an elimination diet, what was your experience? After the prescription diet was over, what was the next step? Just looking for advice from those who have gone through this before. Thanks a million!
