I have had my cat for about three years and I couldn't be more happy with her. In her past home she was with another cat and I was worried she may be lonely so I've been on the look out for a partner for her. Last week I thought I found the best match for her, another cat with the same calm/lazy temperment and adopted him. So far she won't go anywhere near the room I have him in, even when I put her food infront at her scheduled eating time so they can smell through the door. She flat out cowers from his door and I'm at a loss of what to do. The other cat has been hissing and growling at her even through the door and has shown no signs of stopping. I feel guilty for wanting to give him back to the shelter since I committed to giving him a happy stable home when I adopted him but I feel even worse thinking about my first cat since I don't want her to be unhappy when she was here first. The shelter has a 30 day policy.
