Torn about what to do about outdoor cat

First time poster and on mobile so apologies in advance.

My husband and I bought a house in November. There was an outdoor cat that lived under the porch, and the previous home owners took her with them. We received a text from her last week letting us know that the cat was unhappy with them and asked if they could bring her back to our house and her old neighborhood. We said yes.

She has been here since last Tuesday, and she is lovely. She’s obviously very happy to be back in her neighborhood. The thing is, I’ve had cats all my life, we currently have 2 indoor only cats, and it kills me that she’s outdoor only. We cannot bring her inside, it’s not currently an option for us and she seems uninterested in coming in when I open the door. I’m happy to feed her and keep her, but I’m wondering how fair this is to her. She’s very sweet and loves scratches and attention. I feel like I should be reaching out to a shelter or foster program, but I’m also concerned that she would once again be unhappy.

Has anyone dealt with something similar? I’d love any and all advice. I just want to do what’s right by her.
