Hi everyone I need help desperately. Basically my cat started peeing blood 4 weeks ago. I took him to the vet and they gave him antibiotics and anti inflammation medication. He seemed to calm down and started peeing normally again.
However, yesterday he started to meow and try to pee but he couldn't pass any urine so we took him to the vet again. They suggested surgery to unblock his urethra. He came out of surgery this morning and they found no crystals or stones blocking his urethra. Shortly after they tried removing the catheter and his urethra was blocked again. They said to take him home with the catheter in and watch him. He's sleeping now but they said that if it is still blocked tomorrow after removing it we need to look at other options (putting him down).
I really really don't want to put him down. I've spent almost all my savings trying to fix this. I need advice on what to do. Tomorrow at 8 am uk time I'm going back and I hope he can pass urine.
Any advice is appreciated.
